Knowstone Parish Council

Knowstone - East Knowstone - Roachill

The Knowstone community defibrillator has been installed

The Knowstone Community Defibrillator is now ready for emergency use. It is listed on the South West Ambulance register and those individuals needing emergency defibrillation in the Knowstone area will be directed to it by the 999 emergency service.

It is situated to the left of the Parish Hall entrance door and is in an alarmed but unlocked wall mounted box.

Thanks go to Knowstone Parish Hall committee for making it happen, our community for raising funds and to the British Heart Foundation for supplying the Defibrillator and all of the training equipment. Also thanks to Ken Dykes who has agreed to be responsible for maintaining the defibrillator and our link with the 999 emergency services.

It is now crucially important that as many people as possible are trained in the very basic actions needed to be undertaken in the event of someone collapsing, particularly CPR. Please contact Tony Moore on 01398 341889 or any other Parish Councillors if you are able to attend a locally run CPR training event which should last no more than an hour.
