Who saw the Easter crosses on the moor?

Did you see the crosses on the moor over Easter and wonder at their arrival and departure? Church Warden Reg Howe explains that each Maundy Thursday churchgoers take three crosses up to the moor and install them in the specially prepared slots. On Good Friday they meet at the church at 11.15am, hold a short service then walk up to the Moor, pausing at the lay-by for prayers. On reaching the moor there is a commemoration service during which a collection is taken for a worthy cause - local, national or international.

The service is followed by tea, coffee and hot cross buns and the return journey to the church. In Reg's words it is a very special day.
