Consultation on fire service - have your say
A consultation is currently taking place on the running of the fire and rescue service in Devon and Somerset. Under the new proposals, underused resources would be moved from where the risk is low meaning more investment into work to reach the most vulnerable members of society helping to keep them safe. This includes proposed closures of a number of fire stations where risk and activity is low and the removal of fire engines that are underused
The consultation on changes to the fire service runs until 22 September. The Devon and Cornwall Fire Service want to hear from as many people as they can.
