Knowstone Parish Council - Annual Meeting

The Annual Meeting (the equivalent of the AGM) of Knowstone Parish Council took place in the Parish Hall on Tuesday 24th May.

The meeting (which initiates the new year of meetings for 2016 - 2017) began with the election of Chair and Vice Chair. Cllr Mike Smith was nominated and elected as the new Chair, Cllr Reg Howe was nominated and elected as the new Vice Chair.

Cllr Anthony Vigus announced his resignation from the parish council as of the 24th May meeting.

Congratulations to the new Chair and Vice Chair, we wish them well in their new roles. Our thanks to the retiring Chair, John Smith and Vice Chair John Stanbury, also our thanks to Anthony Vigus for his contribution and service to the PC.

There is now a vacancy for a parish councillor; the appropriate notices will be posted in the near future. Any parishioner who would want to be considered for the role of parish councillor should contact the Parish Clerk for further information -
