Knowstone Parish Plan

The Parish Plan was developed to enable the Parish Council to consult the community and identify the needs of the parishioners.

A questionnaire was put together by a steering group and distributed to all properties in the Parish in November 2004.

In addition to this a short questionnaire was distributed to all children between the ages of 5 and 16 years to obtain their views as potential future parishioners.

The return rate for completed questionnaires was 65%.

In April 2005 a public meeting was held - at this meeting the results of the completed questionnaires were publicised and an action plan was formed.

It is now 5 years since the parish plan was published and during 2010, the Parish Council will revisit key issues and determine how the Parish should approach planning for the next 5 to 10 year period.
