Rosie and Andy Bere celebrate their silver wedding anniversary
On 14th October parishioners Rosie and Andy Bere celebrated their silver wedding anniversary at Knowstone Parish Hall. They were married at Knowstone Parish Church and held their wedding reception at Knowstone Parish Hall so decided to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary at the same venue. Much merriment was had with 70 guests dancing to the Tiverton based band Barracuda who played at Rosie and Andy's wedding party all those years ago. One original member of the band was even present, although the others were all new (or newish!).
In lieu of presents, Rosie and Andrew asked for donations and raised a wonderful £130 each for the church, hall and the British Heart Foundation, giving a grand total of £390 in donations, and the bar made a net profit of £160 which was also donated. Thanks very much to you both and here's to many more years of happy marriage.
Rosie and Andy's actual wedding anniversary was spent on a cruise ship where they had official photos taken to mark the occasion.
