Knowstone & Filleigh Art Exhibition

The Knowstone & Filleigh Art Groups held their first, joint, exhibition of work in the Assembly Rooms, South Molton, on Saturday 11th June.

The Assembly Hall made a fitting and stunning back drop to the fine display of art work on show. The exhibition was well attended all day and visitors not only feasted their eyes on a range of interesting paintings, but also enjoyed complementary tea and cake provided by the local artists and their families. 

Over 120 paintings were on show, along with photographs, hand crafted jewelry, and a range of hand made quilted hand bags. To add a personal touch, the artists involved were on hand, all day, to meet and talk with members of the public.

The exhibition was the brain child of local art tutor, Kathie Gregory, who had prepared an interesting display of posters, biographies and illustrations of how the artists work.

In the evening there was a private, invitation only, viewing by family and friends.

The event was a great success and the Knowstone & Filleigh Art Groups are already planning their next show.
