Local people from in and around Knowstone experienced a rare treat on Friday evening 7th May at the Village Hall - a strong and compelling performance from the Peter Bruntnell Trio supported by Jim Jones and David Little. Jim Jones and Dave Little opened the first set with acoustic and electric driven country music; the Devon based trio (Peter Bruntnell, Dave Little, Danny Williams) then played the hour long second set with a mix of acoustic driven folk based pop using electronic and acoustic guitars, bowed double bass and a beautiful sonorous sounding Indian Harmonium. The Pete Bruntnell Trio opened with songs from their album 'Peter and the Murder of Crows' plus a wide range of original material played and recorded over a number of years.
The audience clearly enjoyed the performance atmosphere provide by the candle lit tables, home cooked supper plus a range of good wine and ales. Feedback comments were fullsome in their praise for the performers, the venue and the total experience.
"Fabulous to hear such great music in our village hall - I'd come again!"
"Fantastic music - thanks to Beaford Arts."
"Great stuff, really interesting sounds"
"Brilliant evening."
Well done to Beaford Arts and the local organisers who are able to bring such good quality performers and events to rural venues!
