Defibrillator funds are boosted by the Beetle Drive
A Beetle Drive was held in the Parish Hall on Saturday 20th May to raise funds for a Parish defibrillator. Teams of four raced each other to be the first to draw a complete beetle. The clatter of dice, furrowed brows from concentrating and shouts of any number between one and six filled the hall. Mrs Carol Moore was crowned overall Beetle Drive champion and her victory was followed by a fabulous Bring and Share Supper enjoyed by all and a raffle. £222.50 was raised in total and thanks must go to Wendy and Ray Sweet for organising the event and manning the bar. Most people had not attended a Beetle Drive before and the general feeling was 'there must be another one'.
